Οι διακεκριμένοι συγγραφείς Ευγένιος Τριβιζάς και Λότη Πέτροβιτς-Ανδρουτσοπούλου (ήταν και το 2023), ο σπουδαίος εικονογράφος Πέτρος Μπουλούμπασης και το γνωστό για την κινητικότητά του στην ανάπτυξη της ανάγνωσης σωματείο Διαβάζοντας Μεγαλώνω (ήταν και το 2023) από την Ελλάδα, καθώς και οι συγγραφείς Δήμητρα Χαραλάμπους και Γιόλα Δαμιανού-Παπαδοπούλου από την Κύπρο είναι οι υποψήφιοι και υποψήφιες για το διεθνές βραβείο Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award 2024, όπως ανακοινώθηκε σήμερα.
Μαζί τους, σημαντικοί δημιουργοί από όλο τον κόσμο, όπως, ανάμεσα σε άλλους οι Beatrice Alemagna, Axel Scheffler, Deborah Ellis, Isabelle Arsenault, Bjørn F. Rørvik, Kristin Roskifte, André Letria, David Almond, Emily Gravett, Julia Donaldson, Katherine Rundell, Kiran Millwood Hargrave, Quentin Blake και πολλοί άλλοι. Κοντά σε αυτούς και οργανισμοί όπως ο περίφημος Silent books Lampedusa.
